Shut Up and Listen hosted by Hope Alcocer. A 15-minute podcast with your weekly dose of inspiration + insight.

This week Hope is back chatting with a mutual friend from her small town in Michigan, Jess Kaczmarczyk. Jess is a fully licensed social worker who focuses on helping young women. We discuss growing up as a feminist in a small town, finding your voice, and what advice you would give to your younger self with what you know now.

HOPE:
Hey everybody, it’s been over a month. Shoot. I don’t think you’re supposed to wait that long when you have a podcast, sorry. It’s been a long month. A lot of change, a lot of growth, a lot of healing. For those of you that tuned into last month’s episode, I believe it was episode seven. Yes. The Happy Birthday To Me, when I talked about Ryan and I. Yes, it’s definitely done. We have both moved on in case anybody was wondering or stalking my Instagram. Probably nobody did that but just letting everybody know. Onward and upward there. I can’t remember who told me this, but it stuck with me even though I’m not a Harry Potter fan, they were like, “We are like a Phoenix. We will rise again.” I don’t know what that means, but it sounds very regal and strong and great. So we’re like phoenixes. Anyway.

HOPE:
Yeah. This is episode eight. This is exciting. We’ve had this list of guests we’ve been waiting to interview and we’re going to actually start…
